CRiteria For Participation

Individuals with intellectual disabilities
Primary programming for ages 18-30
Additional programming for ages 14-17
Possess basic self-care skills
Ability to accept and follow reasonable rules, and interact respectfully with others
Sufficient emotional and independent stability to fully engage in the program
Demonstrate compatibility with the learning environment, showing willingness to participate, support peers, and give their best effort in every session
Show a desire for continued education and personal growth

Express interest in SAIL programs by filling out an inquiry form or contacting us by phone.
Provide clinical and educational information if requested. (i.e. latest psychological evaluation, educational reports/IEP, transcript, vocational evaluation. (if available), and neurological evaluation if appropriate)
Make time for a phone interview to verify if the applicant meets initial admissions criteria.
Once having met the initial criteria, make time for an in-person interview and tour of the classrooms.
When invited to attend a SAIL program, complete the enrollment documents.
Maintain a minimum of 90% attendance.
Due to space limitations, not all applicants who complete the application and meet the criteria for admission will be accepted. If a space is not immediately available the applicant will be placed on a waiting list for any program of interest.
